Justin Wilder started taking improv classes in 2012 as a way to generate ideas and build out stand up and written narrative content. Improv quickly became more than a way to improve other creative pursuits, but a new favorite hobby in itself. After performing on a number of indie teams, Justin joined his first house team at the Providence Improv Guild, Real Mature, followed by Starbucks’s Newest Secret Drink. In addition to a few other teams, he currently performs every Saturday night with PIG house team Jackpot! Justin started teaching at PIG in 2015 and loves the opportunity to work with new improvisers while revisiting the basics of play. Outside of performing and teaching improv, Justin works as a video producer and editor, taking the invaluable lessons he’s learned from improv to help make it up as he goes. Be warned that if you start talking to Justin about improv, he won’t stop until you run out of questions.
