Jimmy Sorel

Jimmy is an Improv Performer, Teacher, and the Artistic Director at the Providence Improv Guild, as well as a Sketch Writer and Performer with The Empire Revue. Jimmy teaches for all levels of improv at PIG as well as musical improv alongside Empire Revue's Keith Munslow.

Jimmy Sorel has officially been involved with comedy since 2007 in his first improv class at ComedySportz in Milwaukee. He continued to practice improv at school with RIT's student troupe, BrainWreck Improv. After graduation he moved out to Providence where he performed with local troupes in and around Providence (Unexpected Company, Bring Your Own Improv, Bit Players).

Jimmy was first involved with PIG as a performer during the opening gala. He has continued to perform on various house teams in the organization (long form, short form, organic, and musical). He currently performs with Rubber Legs, Newspaper Podcast, and Three Different Savers; as well as running and refereeing Laughletics competitive improv shows.

When Jimmy is not performing improv, he competes in OCRs, Cycling races, and Triathlons; he plays Board Games and RPGs, and is also one of the rotating Trivia hosts at the Wild Colonial.
